How you can help: Sign up for one of these donor sessions
THE Derby Telegraph is hoping to reach thousands of readers with its Save a Life Campaign – to turn you into life-savers.
We have teamed up with NHS Blood and Transplant to find 500 new blood donors in Derbyshire.
Other parts of our campaign include learning first aid and signing up to the national organ donor register.
To inspire you to give blood, we are featuring the stories of people whose lives were saved because of transfusions, or of those already kind enough to donate.
NHS Blood and Transplant has plenty of donor sessions coming up. These include:
Novotel, Long Eaton, Monday, December 3, 12.45pm to 3.15pm and 4.45pm to 7.30pm.
Pride Park Stadium, Wednesday, December 5, 10.30am to 12.45pm; 2pm to 4pm, and Wednesday, December 12, 2.15pm to 3.30pm and 4.30pm to 7.30pm.
