Hilton village is situated on the old Derby to Uttoxeter road.
Hilton village has several pubs including the 15th century Old Talbot inn and the more modern Hilton Hotel. The present village hall opened in 1989, and a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel in the Main Street was built in 1841 and is still a thriving place of worship. There has been much new development in recent years, and Hilton is now a fast growing village
Public transport: Regular buses run from Hilton to Derby and Burton upon Trent. There is no railway station at Hilton, the nearest being Tutbury, Willington or Burton.
Medical: The doctor's surgery in Hilton is Wellbrook Medical Centre on Welland Road. The village hall on Peacroft Lane is currently being extended and it is hoped there will be a dentist's surgery open there by the end of the year.
