We're hoping for cold snaps
AS the temperature drops and winter draws in, we are appealing for Derby Telegraph readers to send in their seasonal pictures of Derbyshire.
Last winter these stunning scenes were submitted by readers.
Ice-coated rivers, snow-capped peaks and frost-tipped trees made for some top shots.
James Clark took a few pictures of the River Derwent, touched with snow and frost, from the bridge near to the Bridge Inn, in Mansfield Road.
Julia Mawson, of Etwall, captured some shots of the countryside from her back garden, after the snow left its mark on nearby fields.
Mick Steel journeyed from Borrowash to Elvaston Castle to snap his shot – a picture of the historic house and gardens covered in white.
And Raymond Stone, of Belper, took full advantage of some good weather to take some snowy pictures of the Derbyshire Dales from Turnditch.
Derby Telegraph picture editor Victoria Wilcox said she was impressed by their efforts.
She said: "It's great to see our readers getting their cameras out to take some brilliant shots from all over Derbyshire.
"The perfect picture is always out there and it's not only great to see our readers in the right place at the right time to snap them but also for them to send them to us.
"We really do welcome everyone's efforts at getting the very best shot they can of the county and they just need to keep up the good work."
Submitted photographs will be considered for publication in the Derby Telegraph or on our website, at www.thisis derbyshire.co.uk/winterpics.
