TWO men were arrested on suspicion of producing controlled drugs after police swooped on an Ilkeston house.

Officers raided a property in Stratford Street, Cotmanhay, and found a "significant amount" of what are thought to be controlled drugs.

A man from Ilkeston and a man from Nottingham were arrested during yesterday's raid and will be questioned by police today.

The drugs were seized by officers.

A Derbyshire police spokesman said: "We were responding to concerns from members of the public regarding the misuse of drugs in the area."
