Two men jailed for wounding in house

TWO men have been jailed after a man was stabbed at a house in Ripley.

Gary Cross, 38, and Andrew Robbins, 36, broke into the house of Robbins' ex-partner in Butterley Mews, Ripley, on August 19, 2012, and assaulted her new partner.

The victim, a 37-year-old man, suffered serious stab wounds to his body.

Cross and Robbins went on the run across the country but eventually handed themselves in to police on September 6.

Both men were arrested and charged with unlawful wounding.

Cross and Robbins, both of South Street, Riddings, pleaded guilty to the offence and were each sentenced to 37 months in prison at Nottingham Crown Court.
