No need to agree but at least respect their views
I READ with interest the two letters in the Derby Telegraph on January 7 about comments made by Saros Kavina.
I truly agree that if this country is so bad in the eyes of Saros Kavina then perhaps he should return to his birth country.
This country has offered him a good life and a freedom of speech (which he exercises frequently via this newspaper).
I do not believe in any form of discrimination but, you know, being a white heterosexual male in today's world, you do see discrimination against us. I never see Mr Kavina write about that.

Some of the comments Mr Kavina makes are valid. However, I do believe he can be inflammatory at times and should think about what he says and agree to see other people's point of view. He does not need to agree with them, but respect their views.
Mr Kavina, let me say we are both in agreement that we all want to live in harmony and let's strive together to achieve this and tolerance is a good start. You don't have to have a letter in print every other day to make your point.
Let others at least express their views freely, as you do.

“If it isn't a "local" issue then why do some people rant in a Local newspaper. Why not write t othe National papers?”

“Saros Kavina's main issue is that he is not of white english origin and this makes him feel inadequate hence the reason for his persistent rants against this great nation and people!”
