Man airlifted to hospital after crash

A DRIVER had to be cut free from his car by firefighters following a crash in Egginton. He was taken by air ambulance to Burton's Queen's Hospital to be treated for a chest injury.

Two cars, – a Nissan Micra and a Volvo – were involved in the collision on the A5132 Hilton Road just before 1pm yesterday.
