Burton Albion: No new deal for Marc

PAUL Peschisolido has confirmed thet Burton Albion will not offer former Derby County defender Marc Edworthy a new deal after his month-long contract expires on Saturday.

The Burton manager says he and Edworthy have been unable to reach a financial agreement.

Edworthy played Burton's first game of the season at Shrewsbury Town but has only been involved on the bench since.

On a predictably quiet transfer deadline day, Peschisolido did no business but, as expected, extended the loan of Birmingham City goalkeeper Artur Krysiak until January, with a view to keeping him longer if possible.
