Revellers offered tests for STDs in Derby pubs and clubs
Charity Women's Work, which was founded to support the city's sex workers, is offering free chlamydia tests at six late-night venues in the area.
Dionne Reid, chief executive of the charity, said: "It's about raising awareness about how serious chlamydia is.
"Many people don't realise that often there are no symptoms, but if it goes untreated it can cause infertility.
"It makes sense to target women in their own environment and we thought it would be an interesting initiative to catch the target group of 18 to 25 year olds."
The urine tests will be offered on Friday at Coyote Wild, in Victoria Street, from 8.30pm to 10.30pm and at Syn, in Colyear Street, from 10.30pm to 12.30am.
On Saturday, testing will take place at Revolution, in The Strand, from
8.30pm to 10.30pm and at Flares, in Becket Street, from 10.30pm to 12.30am.
And next week there will be sessions on Friday, December 12, at Barracuda, in The Strand, from 8.30pm to 10.30pm and Zanzibar, in London Road, from 10.30pm to 12.30am.
