Second fatality near reservoir

A SECOND fatality on the same stretch of road within five days has taken place in the north of Derbyshire.

In the latest incident, a man died after a lorry and van were in collision on the A57 north of the Ladybower reservoir.

The tragedy occurred at about 2.15pm yesterday afternoon

The road was closed and remained shut for several hours last night

The man, who was in the van, was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Saturday, a 62-year-old motorcyclist died after his bike was in collision with a van on the same road.

The emergency services were called just after 11am and part of the road was closed for several hours.
