Two people arrested on suspicion of Ripley burglaries
DETECTIVES investigating burglaries in Ripley have made two arrests.
A 34-year-old man from Clowne has been arrested on suspicion of burgling a house in Argyll Road on February 6 and a home in Poppyfields on January 30.
In both cases, the burglar reached through a cat flap, took a set of keys and let themselves into the home.
A 30-year-old Ripley woman has also been arrested on suspicion of the Argyll Road burglary.
The pair have been questioned and released on bail while the investigation continues.
Officers are urging people to make sure their house and car keys are kept well away from cat flaps and letterboxes and that they are not left on display near windows.
