Barking Mad in Derbyshire offer an alternative to kennels and provide your dog with a home-from-home environment.

Barking Mad have over 60 franchises throughout the UK and has been established since 2000. Here in Derby Barking Mad is run by mother and daughter; Veronica and Laura Young.

We operate by selecting a number of host families that are all previous dog owners, who will look after your dog in their own home whilst you are away. All homes are checked for factors such as having a secure garden, being of a suitable size, and previous dog experience is essential. If the host already has a dog or pet we will ensure that it is sociable around other dogs.

There is a matching process to ensure that your dog goes to a suitable host. For example, if you own a particular breed of dog we will aim to find you a host that has previously owned the same breed. Our hosts maintain any routine you may have in terms of walking and feeding, and will also collect and deliver your dog back to you on your return.

Our dog walking service is only included as part of a dog sitting package and unfortunately we are unable to offer this as a separate service.
