“Some good pics there and ill wager there will be a few who rememember fondly but what will the youth of today think of it- that is them who want to work that is. What you see here is people working and doing a 40 or more hours a week, the way it should be and the way it could be. If only greed didnt rule the day. What do you see now - emptyness and lots of it. And stupid no hours contrats - how dose a job pay the bills when the boss can send you home at a moments notice, brill for the boss but not for you. Rant over.”

“There is a wonderful shot of the foundry in this 1931 Pathe movie of Derby, it also shows steam locomotives being built in Derby, Rolls Royce Cars and aero engines, as well as some amazing shots of a very busy town centre.
