£5,000 fine for drink-driver seen speeding along M1
A 31-YEAR-OLD has been fined £5,000 after admitting his third drink-driving offence.
Liam Touhey was seen speeding and swerving between lanes on the M1 for more than 20 miles between Chesterfield and Long Eaton. Touhey was arrested after his Vauxhall Corsa stopped on the southbound slip road at junction 25 and was found to be over the drink-drive limit.
Derby Crown Court heard that Touhey had been out drinking in Leeds the previous evening, November 24, and had spent the night sleeping in his car. He had not realised how tired he was and that he was over the limit, his lawyer Katherine Goddard told the court.
Touhey, of Seestrasse, Zurich, Switzerland, was previously convicted of drink-driving in Sheffield when he was 19 and more recently in Switzerland, where he now works. But the court heard that the drink-drive limit was very low in Switzerland.

Touhey, who admitted dangerous driving, drink-driving and possessing a small amount of cocaine, was given an eight-month jail sentence suspended for a year.

It says 12 years ago he was in Sheffield, which is also in Yorkshire
Liam Touhey isnt a very Swiss name, I could surmise he is of Irish decent, but grew up in Yorkshire, before getting a job in and moving to switzerland
I won't though because I don't know for certain as the article doesn't give his life history
