“ The more I go to this pub the more I like it! It serves good home-made pub food – my personal favourite is the beef casserole, although they have a wide range for every size of appetite including baked potatoes, sandwiches, curries, soup, cheesy chilli, fish and chips, liver and onions and much more. They have two pub quizzes, a music one every Thursday and a general knowledge on Sunday. A great plus for me is that they are dog friendly and even sell second hand books to support local animal charities. ”

The Masons Mickleover
Situated on the Square at the heart of Mickleover The Masons is a traditional pub dating back to the 17th century.
The licensee Trevor, his wife Nadine and (occasionally) their son Tom have been running this pub for over 10 years and can all on 25 years’ experience in the licence trade.
With 4 real ales always available (including the award winning Castle Rock Harvest Pale), and at least 6 homemade dishes on the menu, prepared daily by Trevor's wife Nadine. You can sit by the log fire (bring the dog along too!) and take a step back to what real pubs are all about!
Sit out on the patio area and enjoy a refreshing drink on those long summer days
If you want to watch the Big Match live on TV in the Bar, relax and have a chat, or maybe have a meal with friends in the lounge The Masons is your ideal venue in Mickleover.
For that Special occasion, or an out of office meeting there is a versatile private room available. Food can be arranged that will suit your tastes and a fully stocked drinks bar can be provided.

“Been here a few times when visiting a friend of mine who lives locally, and have always found it warm and inviting. The staff are lovely and it's the perfect place for a catch up... it has superb food and it's the kind of place where you can while away the night with a bottle of wine and a few ales. I wish it was closer to me!”

“The Masons is a really nice pub and thats all you need to know. Its not a big fancy city centre place which is great as the people who go there want exactly what they offer, good beer and good food”

It’s friendly, large spaced, family atmosphere do sell a fine selection of beverages but is well renowned for their quality food menu. Here they offer starters, main dinners, jackets and sandwiches at bargain prices. Especially given its quality.”

“The Masons Arms is one of Mickleover's finest pubs, offering some lovely food as well as a plentiful supply of drinks. Its warm, cosy atmosphere is so much better than the cold, shed-like interiors of the big chain pubs, and you can always rely on a hearty welcome and friendly, efficient service. ”

“Went to the Masons last night and had some great food. For £3.95 I had a fish that was lovely and crispy and chips that were hot - very important! I must admit I looked jealously at my friends cheesy chilli and rice - guess what I am having next time! They also serve decaf coffee which so many places do not. Would definitely recommend for good value tasty pub food.”
