Great atmosphere & food
“ Was driving past the bar and thought to stop in for a quick drink, glad i did. It was very busy inside for a Wednesday and the place looked clean with chandeliers and tv's in the booths playing olympics. Could not help but stay and after taking a look at the menu we decided to have burgers but expected normal pub food. When the food came out it was huge and we could taste the burgers were homemade and chips were amazing. The staff were very friendly. Will be visiting the bar more often ”

Expected to dissapoint
“My father recently brought a group-on voucher for The Bank bar for a sunday, in which there was a choice between a curry, or a sunday lunch.

Id been there twice before and the food both times wasnt good as the lesagne id had was served cold in the centre, and my friends curry had no taste to it, im a big curry fan and for saying they are joint to the indian resturant next door it was awful. So i wasnt particularly looking forward to it. I decided to have the sunday lunch instead, and for some it may have been nice, but the spicey roast potatos were not cooked properly (it would have been nice to have normal roast potatos!) and half a chicken leg not cut (again would have been nice to have pieces of chicken) it just seemed like they were all about the presentation and not the quality.
Very nice pub, but not very nice food! ”

Not impressed
“we recently went to bank bar with some friends we all had steak meals, we were very disappointed with the food we were served it was under cooked and food had to be changed 3 times, the rest of the food was either not cooked properly or plain cold. we don not recommend this bar. ”

dissapointed
“my first time at this restaurant and sadly for me and my family the food was terrible very under cooked it was ...they changed the food twice which was decent of them and offered us a free drink but we was very dissapointed of the food quality we just paid up and left ...i definatly wont be going back for a meal agin there anyway ..this is the firt time i have ever wrote a review of a restaurant but feel it had to be said 0”

“My family and I have been 4 or 5 times,the food has been of excellent quality and freshness. Good value for money within a smart, relaxed atmosphere. There Indian restaurant net door is not bad too. Sioban-Spondon”

Fab Food
“I recently visited the bank bar with my friend for some lunch and I must say how impressed we were with the quality and the price...... We'll definately be returning again and would not hesitate in recommending this place to anyone.”

Excellent
“I've eaten here a few times now, the food is always to a very high standard and the protions are huge. The staff are always happy and helpful. Its a lovely place to have a good meal in relaxed surroundings. Recommended.”

great food at good price
“my wife and myself popped in for a bite to eat thinking it would be the same as most other bar food, but we were both shocked when the food arrived at our table. all the food was home cooked and the chips are to die for. the waiting staff were very polite and plesent.”
