“ The Bay Leaf is tucked away on the main strip of Heanor and would be easy to miss if you're driving through - but is is worth a try. The food is good quality and tasty, and is reasonable price-wise as well. Your bill will be lower than at other Indian restaurants because the Bay Leaf doesn't have an alcohol licence, so you can pick up your own booze for a few quid from the nearby shops instead of paying a fair amount for drinks, like you might elsewhere. On my two visits, the Bay Leaf has been let down by slow service, though. ”
