Best Lasagne in Derby! Excellent food, relaxed environment, reasonable prices.
“A very relaxed place that serves excellent italian food, forget the likes of Zizzi's and go to a real restaurant. Pietro is good also, the restauran is clean and tidy and pleasant but lacks the wow factor of Pietro, however the food is better. 2 people, 3 courses, 2 wines, 2 beers, olives and garlic bread sideorders for £45. Each dish was fantastic traditonal italian food. This place comes highly recomended. They also open for lunch....”

Excellent Evening
“I arranged a family meal for 10 at Cucina Restaurant on Green Lane to celebrate my son' 18th birthday. I have to say that the whole evening was a tremendous success ! We pre-ordered a set 3 course menu. The food was superb. All the dishes were ordered by at least one person and everybody praised the food. The staff were courteous and attentive. It was clear that all the food was clearly freshly prepared as we could see into the kitchen.

The decor is very authentic and you wouldn't believe that you were in the middle of Derby.
I've never written a review on anything before which is an indication of how pleased I was with the choice. The added bonus was that it was very good value.

Bargainous lunch!
“I went here for lunch and was truly impressed - not only with the food - but also the price. We had two courses for about £7 and often with that sort of price the food portions can be a bit small, or ropey, with a limited selection. But not here. It was delicious. The staff were friendly and we weren't rushed at all.”

Cucina, the great Italian of Derby
“This resturant is one of the top 5 hidden gems in eating out. If you have travelled and love good food then make sure you come here, Derby is very lucky to host such chefs whom takes pride in what leaves the kitchen. The menu is simple and you can tailor to suit ya own taste, mix n match until you are happy with the order with out fuss or the large bill, for what's on offer the service and food is cheap in comparison to London prices or even the food brands in derby. 3 course for 20 is darn good. Try the Tiramuses, better than any place I've eaten from around this blu ball. Anyway come eat n enjoy as us business travellers do...”

“This is a lovely Italian café bar and restaurant on Green Lane in Derby. Cucina is a great place to enjoy a delicious fresh Italian coffee that is some of the nicest in the area and is probably the most cheap, with a large cappuccino only £1.85. Open 5 days a week they offer an amazing menu of panini’s and other authentic Italian meals and deli snacks. ”

Buonissimo
“Buonissimo, mi piace la Lasagna e la Pasta Penne alla Matriciana. Ce molta scelta nelle bevande per esempio San Pellegrino e i tipici vini Italiani e anche il famoso caffe. E non dimentichiamo il Gelato Italiano. Il Ristorante Italiano pui buono pui bello in Derby.

Traditional Italian food and hospitality
“Lovely restaurant where we got a lovely welcome. The surroundings are pleasant, the food is good and we had a great time. The people who run La Cucina were really friendly and you get the impression that they really want you to enjoy your meal as much as you do. Certainly worth a few repeat visits.”
