DERBYSHIRE'S decision not to go back to Leek this season means their calendar for the 2012 campaign is complete.

Having staged successful visits to the Staffordshire venue for the last two seasons, the county club was considering taking the Friends Life t20 fixture against Durham on Wednesday, June 20, to Leek this year.

That game will now be played at Derby instead but chief executive Keith Loring said the club could go back to Highfield in the future.

"The way the fixtures have fallen has not been conducive to a match at Leek in 2012 but it remains very much in our thinking for future years," he said.

"The two matches we have hosted at Highfield have been a success and I would like to thank everybody at Leek Cricket Club for their assistance and cooperation in staging the fixtures.

"But with only five Friends Life t20 matches in 2012 and four of our Clydesdale Bank 40 matches accounted for by television coverage and the Chesterfield Festival, our hands have been tied for the forthcoming campaign."

Derbyshire's last away trip to be decided was their opening match in the CB40 against Unicorns on Sunday, May 6.

That game is to be played at the late Sir Paul Getty's ground at Wormsley in Buckinghamshire.

It will be the first time Derbyshire has played a fixture on the picturesque ground on the Getty estate.
