It's the elderly who show little respect

IN the opinion section of your paper you get many letters complaining about the behaviour of young people, but I am writing to you regarding a most upsetting incident involving OAPs.

I would like to ask the three elderly gentlemen and one old lady (with a walking stick), who barged to the front of the taxi queue at the Morledge and hauled us out of our taxi just before Derby's match against Preston, if they are proud of the way they behaved.

I wonder if your readers agree that it is the elderly sections of our society that are increasingly demonstrating a lack of respect for the rest of us.

Martin Elderberry,

Allestree.

    “Sadly, this is not unusual.

I am fed up with the OAP's who ignore you or look at you with contempt if you hold a door open for them.

    Say "Thank You ?"

    Not a chance.”
