Review: Unmade Beds
By Neil White
UNMADE Beds is a quirky low-budget film centred around two young Europeans who are independently drifting around London.

Drifting together: Quirky drama Unmade Beds
Axl (Fernando Tielve) is a Spaniard who finds himself in a cycle of heavy nights of drinking, dancing and casual sex.
At the same time he is making nervous attempts to contact the father he has never met.
Throughout he has no money but is portrayed as being so cool that people (normally women) are happy to pick him up like a stray dog.
Vera (Deborah Francois) is a Belgian who feels as if her job as a bookshop assistant has put her into a straitjacket.
The two eventually hook up but decide not to share telephone numbers or even their names to avoid over committing themselves.
At first this keeps their relationship fresh but after a while the self-imposed distance plays with their emotions.
The problem with Unmade Beds is that its characters have limited appeal. Most audiences will be dying to leap out of their seats and give them a good shaking.
However it is not without merit and its soundtrack exposes some cracking indie music.
