It's time for Cole to spark England's World Cup campaign, says Todd
DERBY County legend Colin Todd believes it's time for Joe Cole to try to ignite England's World Cup campaign after their dismal goalless draw with Algeria last night.
England remain third in Group C after failing to make an impact against the African nation at the Green Point Stadium in Cape Town.

Fabio Capello's men were so poor that they were booed by their own supporters as they left the field.
Their final group game is against Slovenia, who need only a draw to reach the knockout phase, in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday.
And former Rams defender Todd reckons Capello must now change his formation and some of his personnel to clinch the win that would see England make progress.
"I think Joe Cole has to come into the equation now, without a shadow of a doubt," said Todd, who won 27 England caps during his Rams career.
"I would put him in midfield, with Wayne Rooney up front and Steven Gerrard just behind him.
"Joe has the ability to create something, he can deliver the end product and he can score goals as well.
"I just don't think you can persevere with Emile Heskey up front any more and I don't think you can stick with a 4-4-2 formation either, because we are being outplayed in midfield."
Todd added: "Normally you look at games for some kind of positive but unfortunately I couldn't find any from England's display against Algeria.
"England were very laboured in their play, there was no sharpness and no change of pace. They played at the same pace all of the time.
"There was no guile or cohesion.
"In the first half England were second best and surely the manager can see that.
"It was crying out for a change of system or personnel at half-time because it just wasn't working.
"Of the two England performances so far, the first one against the USA wasn't great but the one against Algeria was even worse."
Rooney hit out at the England fans after they booed the team from the field after the game.
As he trudged off, following an ineffective performance, he turned to the TV cameras and said: "It's nice to see your home fans booing you."
And Todd reckons that comment underlines the player's own frustration.
"He is probably totally frustrated," said Todd.
"He had injury problems at the end of last season and his fitness levels are clearly not at their best.
"I think him having a go at the supporters underlined his frustration.
"But you have got to remember that supporters are entitled to their opinion.
"They have paid a lot of money to go out there and watch England.
"And it was clear for everybody to see last night that the performance against Algeria was not good enough."
