THERE are four weeks left for people to have a say on the future of Derbyshire's youth services.

The county council's 10-week consultation, ending on March 18, is asking people to give their views on proposed changes to the way youth activities are offered.

So far 1,900 people have responded and Councillor Barry Lewis, council cabinet member for young people, is urging more people to submit their views.

He said: "The way youth activities are delivered has not been changed for decades. We want to make the most of the money we spend."

One of the council's proposals is to close youth clubs and support voluntary, independent and community groups.
