Six-shooter Dean destroys Bangladesh
Kevin Dean tore through the Bangladesh A batting order to reach
a personal milestone on the second morning of Derbyshire's
match against the tourists today.
Having taken the first two wickets of the innings yesterday,
the 32-year-old left-armer claimed four more for seven runs in
14 balls, with his third taking him to 400 first-class wickets
in his career.
Dean was twice in with a chance of completing a hat-trick of
hat-tricks as the Bangladeshis slumped to 79-6 in conditions
favourable for swing bowling.
At the end of his session, Dean was 6-37 in 16 overs but
thoughts of all 10 wickets in the innings ended when Dolar
Mahmud was caught at slip by Chris Rogers off Nayan Doshi.
It was 148-8 when Mosharraf Hossain was lbw to Wayne White for
24 but the Bangladeshis reached lunch on 153-8, with Mushfiqur
Rahim 48 not out.
