More snowfall and bitter cold on way for a spring freeze
LAST night the snow kept on falling and Derbyshire can expect more of the same today, with temperatures expected to plunge.
Met Office forecaster Charlie Powell said today presented "critical periods" for the area in terms of snowfall. Until lunchtime, there will be another deluge of snow, which could reach up to 20cm in higher areas of the county.

Mr Powell said: "Derbyshire is right in the middle of the worst snowfall. You can expect to see as much as 15cm today after the 5cm or so you saw yesterday.
"It will take until lunchtime today for things to settle down."
