Boxing: Jenkins hits back

SCOTT Jenkins produced a clinical finish in his first bout of the season as St Michael's sent three boxers to a Haddenham ABC show.

His opponent, Josh Kennedy of Folkestone, lost to Jenkins in the 2008 CYP finals and made a fast start but a left hook to the head put him down a minute into contest and it was all over.

Rod Smith won a unanimous decision over the highly-rated Jeff Callender of Bedford, while Reece Longstaff lost on points in his first cadet contest against the sharp counter-punching of Tyrone Winter of Repton Boys Club.
