Danes set to swoop for Benny

BENNY Feilhaber could be on his way to Danish club AGF Aarhus following his exit from the Beijing Olympics.

It is understood the Danish Superliga outfit are interested in the Rams midfielder but have been waiting for the USA to be eliminated from the Olympics before making a move.

The 23-year-old American international's Beijing dream ended yesterday when the USA lost 2-1 to Nigeria, with Feilhaber coming on as a half-time substitute.

Feilhaber has barely figured for the Rams since his £1m move from SV Hamburg a year ago.

He made only one start in 10 appearances for Derby, his last game coming in the final Premier League match of last season against Reading.

His stay at Pride Park looked set to be over in January when he held talks with Maccabi Tel Aviv but the Rams rejected the Israeli club's bid.

Derby's Ruben Zadkovich also saw his Olympic hopes ended yesterday as Australia were eliminated from the football tournament in Beijing.

The "Olyroos lost their must-win final group game 1-0 to the Ivory Coast, thanks to a goal from Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou.

Zadkovich missed the game with a groin strain.
