Eastwood Town: Badgers head to flood-hit Cumbria
Officials at Eastwood had offered to switch the fixture to Coronation Park, with the town of Workington being cut in two after police condemned all bridges in the area.
But, after a board meeting at Workington on Tuesday night, the club decided to go ahead with the fixture.
The Reds' Borough Park is protected from the River Derwent by two flood banks but, according to groundsman Jeff Curwen, the water was only six inches from coming over the banks this week.
"We hope as many supporters as possible will be able to make the trip with us," said Eastwood boss Paul Cox (pictured).
"They're holding a minutes silence in memory of PC Bill Barker, who was tragically killed when the Northside Bridge collapsed only yards away from Borough Park.
"It's all very sad."
On the pitch, Eastwood still have injury concerns over a number of players.
"To cover these injuries, we will need to recall Tom Marshall from Chasetown," added Cox.
"We were disappointed to have missed out on the signing of midfielder Jonathan D'Laryea from Mansfield Town but we still have other irons in the fire."
Meanwhile, Cox was at Wembley Stadium earlier this week to collect a merit award the club has received from the Non-League Directory in recognition of their achievements last season.
Cox said: "Any award is credit to all at Eastwood Town. Everyone works hard here and its nice to get recognition."
