Rams must wait to learn opponents for away Cup tie
The Rams have been drawn away to the winners of the second round tie between Staines Town of Blue Square South and Millwall of League One.
Staines drew 1-1 at home to Millwall on Saturday and face a replay at the New Den a week tomorrow.
"One thing is certain, whichever team it is, Staines or Millwall, it is going to be a tough game for different reasons," said Rams manager Nigel Clough.
"And whichever team it is, we will treat them exactly the same as we do any Championship opponent.
"Obviously, the game is a long way off so will not emerge on our priority list until it comes round but a Cup run would be nice this season for various reasons.
"It is always nice to get the money in from a Cup run, plus it is added interest for our supporters.
"I am aware we do not have a good record in the cups, particularly the FA Cup, but maybe that can change this season."
Third round ties will be played over the weekend of January 2 and 3, 2010.
