Squash: Over-35s crash

DERBYSHIRE'S Over-35s, winners of the Harris Inter-Counties title for the last two years, crashed out in the first round this season.

Injuries and illness left only Kevin White from last year's team and their hopes of progress were ended when they were beaten 5-0 by Durham followed by a 3-2 defeat against Cambridge.

A 3-2 win over Cheshire at least ensured Derbyshire should be safe from relegation next February.

The B team lost 4-1 to Leicestershire, 3-2 to Lincolnshire and 4-1 to Yorkshire in their group.
