Boys to join girls' school

BOYS will be welcome at a girls' prep school from September.

Abbots Bromley School will rebrand itself as Roch House Preparatory School and co-education for boys and girls will be phased in over three years.

The all-girls senior school will remain committed to strictly single-sex education.

Head teacher Ann Johnson joined the school in September 2005, having worked previously at Foremarke Hall.

She said: "This is an exciting progression for us and it's wonderful to be able to respond to families' needs. The school has a strong family ethos, and it will be lovely to share that with brothers as well as sisters."
