UPDATE 8.30am: Missing eight-year-old boy is found
A BOY aged eight who went missing in Derbyshire last night has turned up safe and well.
Jacob Walthall failed to return home after being last seen at 4.30pm in the Quarry Road area of Somercotes.

He was missing all through the night and police dogs and a search team continued looking for him this morning.
A police spokeswoman said he returned home of his own accord at 8.15am.

“Why was this 8 year old child on his own in the first place.
Obviously the fact that he is home safely is a relief but heaven knows how much all this has cost.
I do hope the Police investigate how he was left on his own.”
